Monthly salary starting from RMB17,485 to RMB31,125 (before tax)


Job summary

Deputy Head of Business and Talent Attraction / Investment Promotion (Beijing) is responsible to assist Head of Business and Talent Attraction / Investment Promotion in Beijing for spearheading Hong Kong’s investment promotion activities across geographic markets under the purview of the Beijing Office of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (“BJO”), including Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Gansu and Ningxia, so as to attract Mainland companies to invest in Hong Kong.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • To assist Head of Business and Talent Attraction / Investment Promotion in Beijing in driving the promotion work for inward investment to Hong Kong in the geographic markets under the purview of the BJO, and to collect market intelligence and information on the sectors of interest
  • To proactively reach out to target companies via organising and/or conducting marketing activities and company visits, and to provide timely advice and practical assistance to potential investors
  • To organise and support investment promotion visits by directorates and sector teams from Invest Hong Kong’s Head Office
  • To establish contacts and networks with government authorities and business multipliers, and enhance their understanding of Hong Kong and Invest Hong Kong
  • To maintain proper records of the contacts and leads generated, as well as the aforementioned activities via various means, including CRM, emails and file record
  • To support Invest Hong Kong’s and BJO’s activities as and when required; and to perform any other duties as assigned by Head of Business and Talent Attraction / Investment Promotion in Beijing


Entry Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree from a university or equivalent, preferably with a major in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, International Marketing and/or subjects related to Innovation and Technology; holders of a higher degree would be an advantage
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant full-time work experience, preferably in international sales and/or business development, with knowledge and experience related to the Innovation and Technology industry would be an asset.  Experience in international organisations, foreign direct investment promotion or economic development, at a managerial position, would be an advantage
  • A strong command of written and spoken Chinese and English with excellent presentation and communication skills in Putonghua and English
  • Broad knowledge of the business environment of Hong Kong and that of the geographic markets under the purview of BJO; experience of living and/or working in Hong Kong would be an asset; and the incumbent is required to have duty travels within the Mainland and to Hong Kong
  • Candidate must be eligible to take up employment in the mainland China without arrangement of work visa by the employer
