Creating More Cheers to Hong Kong
Budweiser Brewing Company APAC Limited (Bud APAC) has expanded its headquarters in Hong Kong, further solidifying its leading position in the Asia-Pacific region.
Mainland China serves as our primary market, and Hong Kong plays a vital role as a bridge connecting the Mainland to the global market.

Hong Kong’s vibrant culinary landscape and bustling nightlife have long been a magnet for both locals and international visitors. With its rich fusion of flavours and diverse dining options, the city has earned a reputation as a gastronomic destination and presents a multitude of advantages for food and beverage (F&B) companies to thrive. It is within this dynamic setting that Bud APAC expanded its headquarters in Hong Kong. As a leading brewery in the Asia-Pacific region, Bud APAC brews, imports, markets, distributes, and sells a portfolio of over 50 well-loved beer brands, including Budweiser, Stella Artois, Corona, Harbin, Hoegaarden, Cass and many more.
Headquartered in Hong Kong for the last five years, Bud APAC has expanded its headquarters and moved to a larger space within Causeway Bay last year to support its continued growth across the Asia-Pacific region. It also opened a BrewDog Taproom on Lyndhurst Terrace, Central, offering an exciting destination for beer enthusiasts. These initiatives underscore the company’s dedication to delivering exceptional consumer experiences and contributing to the local F&B landscape.
Hong Kong: An Indispensable Cornerstone for Expansion
In 2019, Bud APAC publicly listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX) Main Board. Jan Craps, CEO and Co-Chair of the Board of Budweiser Brewing Company APAC Limited, stated that Hong Kong’s status as a leading financial hub in Asia was one of the factors that drove the company to list on the HKEX and to establish its regional headquarters here.
“Mainland China serves as our primary market, and Hong Kong plays a vital role as a bridge connecting the Mainland to the global market. Our Hong Kong office enables us to navigate the intricacies of conducting business in the Mainland more efficiently and perform key corporate functions,” Craps said. He added that considering their business ventures in other key markets in APAC, such as South Korea, India, and Vietnam, Hong Kong’s strategic location makes it an ideal destination for managing their operations and expanding their presence.
Innovating Product Offerings
Offering a wide range of beer varieties, from super premium to value beers, Bud APAC caters to the diverse tastes and preferences of consumers across various occasions and price points. Moreover, it actively promotes sustainability through groundbreaking initiatives such as climate action, water stewardship, circular packaging, and sustainable agriculture, demonstrating its dedication to creating a more environmentally conscious future.
According to Craps, Hong Kong has a rich talent pool. “Hong Kong is home to renowned universities and institutions, fostering a highly educated and skilled workforce. We look forward to tapping into the high-quality talent pool available in the city,” he said.
Craps expresses appreciation for the warm welcome provided by InvestHK during their expansion journey. “InvestHK makes us feel welcome in the city with great facilitation to build Hong Kong as our regional headquarters, including visa applications for our colleagues, obtaining a Liquor Licence for BrewDog Taproom, and providing networking opportunities. InvestHK is a valuable partner in our expansion endeavours,” Craps concluded.
