Digital health technology start-up uses Hong Kong as headquarters to scale up operations
Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK) announced today (8 April 2025) that a digital health technology start-up, ThingX Technologies, has opened its Hong Kong office, leveraging the city’s vibrant innovation and start-up ecosystem to promote its products and solutions for physical and mental health monitoring and management in the region.

Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion, Mr Charles Ng, welcomed the opening of ThingX Technologies in Hong Kong. He said “The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government is committed in promoting innovation and technology (I&T) development. The implementation of a series of measures on I&T infrastructure, nurturing talent, research and development (R&D) promotion, start-up and R&D outcome transformation supports, etc, together with the collaboration among the Government, industry, academia and research institutes, has laid a solid foundation for sustainable I&T development, making it an ideal place for tech start-ups, like ThingX Technologies, to thrive. We wish it every success and beyond.”

ThingX Technology is a startup incubated by The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and Hong Kong Science Park, headquartered at Hong Kong Science Park. The company was co-founded by professors and PhDs from the CUHK AIOT Lab, along with serial entrepreneurs. Based on nearly 20 years of its research and application development from the AIOT Lab, the company provides comprehensive solutions for physical and mental health monitoring and management, aimed at general health and home living management, including wearable devices and monitoring equipment.
