Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion, Dr Jimmy Chiang, said “We are happy to see an energetic and passionate chef joining our food and beverage (F&B) industry. It brings not only his Swiss-Italian culinary concept to the industry, but also investment and jobs to the city. We wish Nocino every success and look forward to its expansion in the city.”
Founded by a British chef, Mr Matthew Ziemski, who was working for two restaurants as Executive Head Chef in Hong Kong for over four years, the new restaurant is located in the heart of Tai Hang offering high quality Swiss-Italian cuisine to local customers and tourists.
“Opening my own restaurant is always my dream and I chose to start it here in Hong Kong. The city is the best place for me not only because I know the industry but I also see opportunity from the restaurant industry here.” Mr Ziemski said.
“It is very simple to set up business in Hong Kong. I feel at home here and I have developed many contacts in the industry. Apart from Tai Hang, I have also secured a new location in Central to further develop ‘Nocino’ brand in Hong Kong. I’m really excited and look forward to expanding in the city,” he added.
Inspired by the Grottos of Ticino, Switzerland, Nocino offers an immersive experience with its evocative design, diverse menu featuring fresh pasta and rare Swiss specialties, and an exceptional beverage programme highlighting Swiss wines and innovative cocktails.
