Leading Mainland cloud-native service provider opens regional office in Hong Kong

Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK) announced today (17 September 2024) leading Mainland cloud-native service provider, Shanghai DaoCloud Network Technology Co Ltd (DaoCloud), has opened a regional office in Hong Kong, using the city as the regional base to expand in Southeast Asia and globally.

Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion, Dr Jimmy Chiang, said, "Hong Kong as an international business hub is situated in the heart of Asia with world-class infrastructure. It is the ideal place for Mainland enterprises to expand overseas. We wish DaoCloud every success in Hong Kong and beyond."

Founder and CEO of DaoCloud, Mr Roby Chen, said that the Hong Kong office will serve as the company's third research and development centre and a sales office for the Hong Kong and Macau markets, helping the company develop more diversified products and overseas business.

He said, "Hong Kong has highly developed infrastructure, a well-established legal system, an open market environment, abundant talent supply, and an international business atmosphere, creating unique conditions for technological innovation."

He added that over the past two years, DaoCloud has accumulated a solid customer base in Hong Kong, Southeast Asia, and Europe. With the establishment of the Hong Kong office, the team will enhance its supply of high-quality software services to customers in Hong Kong and global markets.

"The overseas market for software services is worth USD 300 billion and is growing at about 20% annually. Therefore, we hope to leverage Hong Kong's international status to further explore the vast potential of the overseas market to become a world-leading cloud-native company."
