Mainland coconut chicken hot pot chain leverages Hong Kong’s international status to go global
Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK) announced today (27 May 2024) that its client Mainland coconut chicken hot pot chain, Four Seasons Coconut Grove, has opened its debut store in Mongkok as the first step to go global.
The Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion, Dr Jimmy Chiang, welcomed Four Seasons Coconut Grove joining Hong Kong’s vibrant food and beverage industry. He said “Hong Kong is strategically located in the heart of Asia as well as on the doorstep of Mainland China. It is the best platform for Mainland companies to go global and overseas companies to expand in the Mainland.”
The Brand Director, Ms Xia Tong, said Four Seasons Coconut Grove has established a good reputation and brand image in the Mainland. The company believes that by setting up its presence in Hong Kong it can quickly raise the brand awareness and trust among customers in the local market.
Ms Xia said, “Hong Kong as an international city has a high level of consumer spending and a mature business community. It offers us a friendly business environment and wider market opportunities. In addition, the close economic and cultural ties as well as the increasing people flow between Hong Kong and the Mainland provide us another appeal to expand in the city.”
She added, “We will use Hong Kong branch to further expand our business scale, enhance brand awareness and influence, as well as provide consumers a more diversified and high-quality catering services.”
Established in 2013, Four Seasons Coconut Grove offers mainly Hainan cuisine and has over 60 direct-operated stores nationwide.
