Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK) announced today (20 September 2024) that Singaporean soy-based F&B brand Jollibean has opened its first outlet in Tseung Kwan O and targets to open eight more by next year, as part its strategic plan to expand in Mainland China and South East Asia.
Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion Dr Jimmy Chiang said, "We are delighted to see Jollibean’s expansion in Hong Kong. It is a vote of confidence in the city’s food and beverage market. I wish it every success in Hong Kong and beyond."
Chief Financial Officer of Jollibean Foods Pte Ltd, Mr David Pang, said, “We plan to expand our business in South East Asia, and we believe that expanding our business in Hong Kong can further enhance our exposure, which is conducive to our expansion to Mainland China.”
He added, “The business environment in Hong Kong is similar to that in Singapore, and we have trustworthy partners in Hong Kong. These greatly increase our confidence to achieve success in this city.”
Established in 1995, the brand name, "Jollibean" is coined from two words – "Jolli" and "Bean", put together as deriving joy from the consumption of soy-based products. It aims to open five more outlets in Hong Kong this year and at least three more in 2025.
