One of the world's largest manufacturers and suppliers of formwork and scaffolding expands regional coverage from Hong Kong
PERI from Germany, inventor of the DUO system formwork, announced today (3 May 2023) that it has expanded operation to cover the Greater China Region, as part of the comprehensive regional strategy to tap new demand amid increasing infrastructure projects in the region.

To cope with continuous expansion, PERI HK, which is the headquarters of PERI Greater China, now has a workforce of over 80 employees, compared to only five in 2015 when it first set up in the city. In addition to the Hong Kong stockyard in Yuen Long, the company also has added three new stockyards across Asia boosting storage capacity to meet expected surge in regional demand.
Formwork refers to a temporary mould into which concrete is poured and formed so that it can set to the required shape. PERI announced its DUO system formwork in 2016, a lightweight system using technopolymer materials compared to traditional steel or timber formwork, which is also UV resistant and highly durable against moisture. In Hong Kong, it is widely used in construction of infrastructures. Over the past eight years, PERI HK has taken part in numerous projects such as Central Kowloon Route, Three-runway System, Tsueng Kwan O - Lam Tin Tunnel, etc, according to the Managing Director, Mr Rory O'Gara.
Mr O'Gara said, “Hong Kong is well known for its advanced and well-constructed infrastructures. Located at the gateway to Mainland China, it is also a convenient stepping stone for PERI to expand our business coverage in Greater China. Recently we have launched two new products that were specifically developed for the region while also expanding our Hong Kong office and added stockyard capacity to cope with the huge demand for our products and services.”
