OneConnect Financial Technology (Hong Kong) Co. Ltd. (OneConnect) is a technology-as-a-service (TaaS) provider for financial institutions. OneConnect is an associate of Ping An Insurance Company of China. By leveraging Ping An Group’s over 30 years of extensive experience in financial services and research, OneConnect has established long-term cooperation with financial institutions to address their needs for digital transformation. The integrated solutions and platform the company provides include digital banking, digital insurance and the Gamma platform (a technology infrastructure platform for financial institutions). The OneConnect Hong Kong Team has extensive experience in large-scale development and deployment projects, including the Hong Kong Monetary Authority’s eTradeConnect (a blockchain-based trade finance platform), the Hong Kong Exchange’s FINI (an IPO settlement platform), and the Hong Kong Government’s iAM Smart (an electronic identity platform with identity verification). Currently, there are more than 3,000 employees under OneConnect and around 200 employees in Hong Kong.
