Conference on Climate Change and International Trade Law

The Conference on Climate Change and International Trade Law, co-organised by the Department of Justice, the Hong Kong International Legal Talents Training Academy and United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), will bring together government officials, legal practitioners, academics, and other professionals from various jurisdictions to discuss topical legal issues relating to climate change and international trade law.
Building on the exploratory work of UNCITRAL and recent UNCITRAL colloquiums on climate change, the Conference will discuss how international trade law can effectively support the achievement of climate action goals set by the international community, the scope and value of legal harmonization, and the need for international guidance for legislators, policymakers, courts and dispute resolution bodies.
