Since its establishment in 1999, Trip.com Group has become one of the best-known travel service providers in the world. Guided by its mission “to pursue the perfect trip for a better world”, the company’s platforms — Trip.com, Ctrip, Skyscanner and Qunar — have been growing steadily, and the Trip.com Group now serves millions of members in 39 countries and regions, across 24 languages.

Expanding Horizons in Hong Kong

The Hong Kong government’s initiatives to support events and boost tourism have attracted even more visitors to the city, both for leisure and business. “We see tremendous opportunities and potential for the tourism industry in Asia from our data”, said Eddy Yip, Product & Marketing Director, Hong Kong and Taiwan and Territory Manager, Hong Kong, Trip.com. “As part of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Hong Kong can also offer diversified travel experiences together with Macao and nine municipalities in the megalopolis, and in doing so, the city can benefit the growth of tourism in the region,” he added.

To accommodate its rapid growth in the region, the company’s Hong Kong office moved to a space that is three times the size of the previous office at the end of 2023. Located in the city’s popular Tsim Sha Tsui district, the new space features a panoramic view of Hong Kong’s famed Victoria Harbour. “As we expand in Hong Kong after the pandemic, we are glad to have attracted a group of young and energetic talent to join our team in Hong Kong. We are happy to see the growing talent pool in the tourism and hospitality industry, as it helps rejuvenate the industry,” said Yip.

The company’s online travel platform, Trip.com, offers a wide range of travel-related services including accommodation reservations, transportation ticketing, and packaged tours. Through its mobile app and website, Trip.com provides travellers with a seamless booking experience and continues to innovate and expand its footprint in Hong Kong and beyond to meet the evolving needs of travellers.

A Land of Opportunities

Trip.com looks forward to capturing the opportunities that will arise from the government’s continuous efforts in strengthening Hong Kong’s status as the leading international business location in Asia. “We are committed to working with our industry partners to provide the best hospitality experience for international travellers who come to Hong Kong, and we work closely with InvestHK with their assistance in enhancing our network in the city,” Yip concluded.
